WALTRAUD (TERRI) FLASER
Terri has been studying art for almost 40 years through workshops with distinguished Artists from Canada and the USA. She has taken courses from the Haliburton College of Fine Arts. She has studied Impressionism with John Leonard and Fluid Acrylics with Lila Lewis-Irving.
Terri has shown her artwork in juried shows with the Toronto Watercolour Society: Aquavision and the Willowdale Group of Artists. She has had solo exhibitions at the Dufferin Clark Library in Thornhill, Ont. and at Coffee Tree in Forest Hill, Ont.
Terri has had her work published in the Parkhurst Exchange, April 2002. Her paintings have won a variety of awards including Awards of Merit with the Toronto Watercolour Society and the Willowdale Society.
She has won the Jurors Choice award, Best in Show, a Bronze Medal, a Gold Medal and the Gold Level of Distinction for Signature membership from Toronto Watercolour Society. The Willowdale Group of artists has awarded Terri with awards for the Best Still Life and the Best Landscape.
In 2005 she was awarded the Volunteer award from the Toronto Watercolour Society. Terri has been the Programme Chair for the Toronto Watercolour Society since 1996. This year she was awarded with an award for being the Programme Chair for 25 years.
Terri enjoys sharing her love for painting and her talent as a painting instructor for seniors for the North York Parks and Recreation for Seniors 1980-1999 and with the Toronto District School Board for Seniors 1983-2015.
