Artist Bio:

I’ve been doing some form of art ever since age 10 when a painting I did toured the Province of Ontario as part of a children’s art exhibit. I completed the vocational art program at GS Vanier Secondary School. I did portraits as a part time vocation while working in the finance industry. After taking early retirement, I was accepted into the excellent Fine Arts Drawing, Painting and Printmaking Program at Georgian College in Barrie, Ontario. I’m a Member of Barrie Art Club. I moved back to Scarborough in 2019 where I joined the Guild and I’m also a member of Cedar Ridge Studio. Art has always been a very important part of my life and other than family, is what really grounds me.

Inspiration:
I’m a multi-disciplinary artist who is inspired by nature, human or otherwise. Famous artists who inspire me are VanGogh, Dali, Colville, O’Keeffe, Durer, Turner, Carmichael, to name a few. I also follow and derive inspiration from many contemporary artists on social media (too many to list).

Description of my artwork:
I like to find beauty in the ordinary. I want to show it in way that viewers empathize with it, to feel whatever the subject(s) might be feeling. Or just be there in it’s environment, and find a sense of comfort or excitement.
