Being a lifelong animal lover, Gail finds inspiration in attempting to capture the soul and beauty of animals – dogs, horses, domestic and wild animals – in pastels and oils. Having had horses and many dogs of  her own, she feels a bond with the animals she is commissioned to paint. She also enjoys painting landscapes in oils and acrylics.

Gail’s training has included studying with pastellists Maria Iva, Gary Smith and Margaret Ferraro. She has also worked with artists Linda Woolven, Jay Dampf, Irene Rencsi, and Roberto Rosenman among others.

A member of The Art Guild of Scarborough since 2015, Gail has participated in many shows and has won several awards for pastel work as well as for paintings in oils and acrylics.
