You will find Janet where she loves to be! Outside, surrounded by inspirational Canadian scenery. After seeing the world through a camera lens from a young age, she has more recently turned to depicting the landscape through paint and canvas. Educated at the Haliburton School of Art and Design, and having studied under notable Canadian Artists Gordon Harrison, Sam Paonessa, Sheila Davis and Pamela Erickson, Janet continues to blend her love of capturing an image through her camera and translating it to the canvas.
Janet’s work draws from landscapes in British Columbia, the far north, Ontario and Nova Scotia. Her work can be found in private collections in all these locations. She thoroughly enjoys the inspiration she finds around the Georgian Bay area, and has gained considerable support from the Go Home Lake community.
